NEW YORK, Jun 28, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Coalition for Luggage Security Founder and Chairman of the Coalition for Luggage Security, and CEO of Universal Express, Inc. (OTCBB: USXP) Richard A. Altomare said, "Despite the Coalition petitioning Homeland Security for the past three years, our airports and our travelers are 'sitting ducks' for suitcase bombs this and other Holiday weekends." The Coalition for Luggage Security represents transportation, logistics and air courier companies seeking to enhance passenger and travel luggage security.

"Any Terrorist doesn't have to play by our rules and have his suitcase examined, he simply can enter any airport terminal and detonate on any ticket line with maximum effect," continued Mr. Altomare. (http://www.luggagesecuritycoalition....le/100705.asp).

"Airport screeners are additionally not prepared for suitcase bombs containing chemical, biological or even nuclear explosives and yet we continue with our status-quo system of looking for lighters and pocket knives, while the airlines additionally lose 57 suitcases a minute!"

"Our companies presently pick up luggage from a traveler's home or office and handle the processing, tagging and delivery of the luggage to the traveler's final destination". Rather than having to take the luggage through the crowded check-in points, travelers will be offered this new procedure for shipping their luggage in advance or the day they travel.

"Their luggage is presently shipped to reach their destination safely and in plenty of time for their arrival. This luggage security idea would deprive terrorists of the chance to detonate a suitcase bomb," said Mr. Altomare.

"Are we sadly waiting for an inevitable suitcase bomb to go off at an airport or train terminal in a major American city during a Holiday weekend before examining new ways of handling traveler luggage?" asked Mr. Altomare. "We have the capability, the technology and the reason to act. Let's not have another tragedy occur and then sadly realize all we had to do was lock the cockpit doors," concluded Mr. Altomare.
