EUR/USD squeezed between decisive levels seen near 1.1930 and 1.1760.(29-04-04, 05.33GMT, EUR/USD spot : 1.1831, 1.update) So far we are inline with our yesterday’s scenario as the EUR fell back to the minimum retracement objective near 1.1835 (overnight low registered near 1.1810). Shorter-term technical readings are rather neutral and we see the EUR squeezed between roughly 1.1930 and the former low near 1.1760. We stick to our yesterday’s idea that argues for an upside retracement over the coming few days. We would need a clear break of 1.1930 (at least 4-hourly closing basis) to indicate more convincingly a recovery towards the 1.21-1.22 window. Minor resistances in front of 1.1930 we have near 1.1865 and 1.1885. A fall below 1.1800 in early Europe would be suspect and would indicate a decisive test towards 1.1760 that we interpret as trigger towards 1.15. Again, we favour the recovery scenario.
